The Best Website Host For Bloggers ?

Since I started this journey, I have gone through many phases of Jennifer Dawn. From Website design to hosting , to landing pages and automation tools. I am always striving to make it bigger and better, reach and help more people and do it efficiently! You feel me?

And with the consistent massive growth and the other needs of my business, I am considering a hosting change after several years with my current host.

As a lot of bloggers do, I started off with a free site and it didn’t take me long to figure out that I wasn’t going to accomplish my goals with a free site. My first Paid Host was Bluehost, and although a ton of people use them, I don’t recommend them.

I was actually with them for much longer than I wanted to be because I was terrified of losing everything if I tried to move it. Both the downtime and support were horrible!

Once I finally had enough I went looking for a new provider and thought I would save a ton by going to Host Gator …. but the service was even worse there and I was not with them for very long. It was at this point that I just decided to go with Godaddy . They are who I had used to purchase my first domain and they seemed competent and trusted. I spent what seemed like forever using to learn WordPress and Cpanel but after awhile it became easier and I was churning out much better looking and dependable content because my site wasn’t going down for days at a time every month like it had been with Bluehost.

I have actually been pretty content with GoDaddy but if you know anything about me , I am always striving for improvement and with the continual massive growth of my online business’s , I really need something that is more in line with my needs and I think I may have found that with Site Ground!

]Web HostingMoving hosting is terrifying! Ask any seasoned Blogger! There is always the chance that something could go horribly wrong and years worth of work could go down the drain!

However, I have really done my research and it seems a majority of the Blogger’s in my circle are using SiteGround and they tell me that the service is top notch and so is the speed and thoroughness of their tech department.

Another deciding factor for me is their pricing! Their top level package is already considerably less expensive than what I am paying with GoDaddy and offers more! It is kind of a no brainer!

So be prepared that the next time you come to my site you may see a temporary place holder or it will be new & improved!

I honestly wish I had known about Site Ground from the beginning because I am fairly certain that it would have saved me a ton of money and frustration!

I would love to hear your thoughts. Do you use Site Ground and what is you favorite thing about them?

Common Branding Mistakes Your Business Could Be Making

Common Branding Mistakes Your Business Could Be Making

There is no denying the importance of having a strong and recognizable brand in the current day and age. After all, competition is fiercer than ever before, and your business needs to do everything possible to stand out from the crowd. If your brand is weak and lacks consistency, you are never going to be able to do this. With that being said, read on to discover more about the common branding mistakes that your business could be making so that you can rectify them as soon as possible.

Making your brand too complicated – This is an easy trap to fall into because you want your brand to be amazing and better than all of the rest. However, complicated brands are not memorable. Complicated brands do not have a strong voice. Complicated brands are not recognisable. This is why it is important to keep things simple. If you look at the best brands out there, such as Coca Cola, you will see that they make the most of simple and clean elements so that they are easy to be remembered and recognised by customers. Not only this, but you need to make sure that your brand is consistent. If you change your brand too much, you dilute the effectiveness of it.

Failing to establish defined brand guidelines – A lot of businesses skip this step because they do not realise just how important it is. When you are putting together defined brand guidelines, there are a few important points that you are going to need to consider. Of course, this includes your logo, but it also incorporates spokespeople and mascots, as well as imagery, the voice of your brand, fonts and typography, taglines, and brand colours. This list is not comprehensive, but it should give you a good place to start.

Leaving it to a third-party – There is no harm in employing third party companies to assist with elements of your branding, for example, creating pamphlets or designing your website. However, you should always keep a good chunk of your branding in-house. If you don’t feel like your employees have the capacity to handle any branding elements at the moment, you can invest in the likes of InDesign Training with **Training Connection** or you could take any other sort of course that is suitable to your company and employees’ skill set. But, why keep some elements of branding in-house in the first place? This is because no one knows your business better than you do.

Hopefully, you now have a better understanding regarding some of the most common branding mistakes that businesses are making today. If you can avoid the blunders that have been discussed above, you can give yourself the best chance of creating a brand that is strong, recognisable, and establishes your company as a leader in the industry that you operate in.

The Three Most Important Things To Remember When Starting A Business

The Three Most Important Things To Remember When Starting A Business

Starting a business is one of the scariest things you’ll ever do. However, along with taking that leap, you get the opportunity to create financial freedom for yourself, become wealthy, make a big impact on the world in a way that you know only you can, and so much more.

More and more people are feeling empowered and creating plans to start their own business daily. However, there are some very important things to remember when starting a business. You probably have a good idea of some of them, but you really shouldn’t forget the three important things in this post. Creating a business plan is pretty straightforward, and most people know they have to do that. Taking care of the legal aspects is also a given. What else do you need to remember that might not immediately come to mind?

Read on for the three most important things to remember when starting a business:

Focus On Your Market, Not The Product

Many entrepreneurs and business owners tend to start their business by focusing on the product. They spend ages perfecting it, making sure it’s just right before it goes to market. That’s all well and good – but if you’re not focusing on the market, how can you be sure that you have the product just right? You might think that it’s perfect, but what about everybody else?

The most important thing you’ll do when starting your business is focus on the market, and not the product. The market will help you to hone and define your product. People need to tell you what they want, and you need to listen. You can’t try to tell them what they want and hope for the best! Do market research and as find out as much as you can.

Always Overestimate Your Costs

Having finances in place to get started and keep you going when you’re just starting out or when times get hard is imperative. You need to be prepared for emergencies. If you have a quiet month and you have staff to pay, or you have equipment to repair, or something crucial to purchase, how will you do that? Carefully doing the math so you know your numbers off by heart is all you can do. You can use resources like https://www.smallbusinessloans.co/ to obtain loans, but you still need to know your numbers. They should be in your business plan – just make sure that when overestimating, you make it clear as to what you’re doing and why. You don’t want your numbers to look sloppy.

Sometimes You’ll Need To Let Go

It can be hard to let go as a business owner. After all, this is likely your baby! That being said, having flexibility and a plan B is all part of being an entrepreneur. You need to know when it’s the right time to let go, change plans, and veer off course a little. Sometimes it makes sense. Being too rigid won’t do you any favors.

The Truth About Making Money Online

The Truth About Making Money Online

Are you thinking about leaving your 9-5? Or perhaps, you just want to make some additional income so you can finally have something in your savings account, for vacations or what you would normally consider nonessential purchases? More and more people are searching online for a way to get out of their financial rut and even make life-changing income. Before you go spending your money, keep reading to learn the truth about making money online.

For those who aren’t familiar with my story, I went searching for a way to make money online when I first got sick. I had seen so many people making serious money online and each one claimed that they had the magic answer. And my success was pretty much guaranteed. So what was the problem? The problem is that most people trying to sell you on a program don’t give you all of the information you need, but leave you with the impression that if you buy traffic, it will all happen on COMPLETE AUTOPILOT? Honestly, how many times have you seen or heard this?

Have You Heard Any Of This?

You may be told that it is as simple as copy or paste or that all you have to do is post ads in Facebook Groups. That if you don’t take any risk you will never get anywhere. And while I do believe that changing your mindset is a HUGE part of gaining and keeping success and that you do have to take some risks. ( Afterall, things can’t change without YOU making changes.)  I would make sure to do a little research if they are making these types of promises.

I myself made the mistake of listening to a couple of so-called gurus and bought into some high ticket programs and spent so much money on Solo Ads and most of them I didn’t make a cent! And the few high ticket sales I did make, in the end really weren’t worth it because I didn’t feel very good about any of it. I can honestly say that MLM wasn’t for me, even though several of my marketing friends do very well with MLM and High Ticket Programs, it definitely should not have been my starting point! I had absolutely no marketing knowledge and felt that my mentors at the time were only offering sleazy sales tactics that just didn’t sit right in my gut. But my biggest problem was that I could not help them grow their business when I really didn’t feel I had the qualifications and that most of the programs being offered really didn’t provide any REAL training. And if you are getting involved in a high ticket program, they should provide training or your mentor should be one that has some real marketing knowledge not just advise you to buy ads.

Mindset is Key!

I will tell you until I started changing my mindset and found myself a knowledgeable mentor, my business was FAILING!  I honestly believe when you provide real value and truly want to be able to help others, this is when you will start to see your business grow. And let me be the 1st to tell you that you don’t have to start by paying for some high ticket program. I invested slowly to get where I am because I didn’t have the money just sitting somewhere to be able to pay for mentors or monthly services. It also took me some time to figure out what I REALLY wanted to do. This is another tip I will give you, Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t make money doing what you love because you absolutely can with the right guidance! For me, it is blogging … I love to talk home decor and DIY and don’t get me started on recipes and gardening. And while Bloggers do have more avenues to earn income, you can totally start affiliate marketing without a blog. Need some marketing knowledge but don’t have hundreds or thousands of dollars to spend on a mentoring program? What many won’t tell you is that you can pick up some really great marketing courses over on Udemy .. FOR REAL! You can pick valuable marketing courses for less than a dinner at most fast food joints.

Another great place to pick up marketing courses is from Ultimate Bundles, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A BLOGGER! However, the Ultimate Bloggers Bundle & The Work From Home Bundle is only available at specific times of the year. Check out some of their other bundles and get on their mailing list to be notified of when they are available. You will also be notified if you are on my list.
Social Media MarketingThe truth about making money online is it is a lot of hard work in the beginning but you can put your sales on autopilot …to a certain degree, you do have to do some work. The first thing you need to know is that Solo ads don’t always work and you need a way to be consistently reaching both new and old customers and clients. Do you know how to get the target customers? Do you know how to run a proper ad? Do you know anything about landing pages and email lists? Or how about SEO? NEITHER DID I!  All I knew is that with my illness I couldn’t always be camera ready, nor did I want to spend all day on the phone. I am sure you can relate when I tell you that all I wanted was to be able to contribute financially, do what I love and be able to spend quality time with my family. However, I also wanted to be able to authentically help people no matter their circumstance, financial situation or education and provide real value.

If you are willing to do the work and be consistent, there are several ways to earn passive income but you have to have some marketing knowledge and know how to build a relationship with your audience. Joining Marketing Solved & The Inner Circle with Kat Sullivan really made me see things differently and how I could really streamline all of my knowledge and business as well as get access to up to date marketing strategies from the experts! Not to mention, she showed me how to provide real value to my audience ( as well as tips on how to find my target audience).
