How To Protect Your Energy & Raise Your Vibration

With everything going on in the World right now it can be easy to get distracted and thrown off balance. In this post I am going to talk about a number of ways that you can protect your energy & raise your vibration.

Are you giving your energy away?

There are are a number of different things that can leave you feeling depleted and even hopeless at times and it is my intention that these tips ( #facts) will help you start shifting your mindset and your current reality. 

Your energetic field can be affected by so many different environmental and emotional factors. 

  • The food you eat
  • The music you listen to
  • The news ( quite possibly the worst one)
  • The people you spend your time with
  • The things you spend your time thinking about
  • Trauma

And the one thing that I want you to first understand is that you cannot begin to fix the problem with the same mindset that created it to begin with.

So What Can I Do To Protect My Energy?

It all starts with first making a decision. YES, really. Once you put it in your mind , it is time to start taking aligned action, hold the thought and the feeling that it brings you. Rather than focusing on all of the negative aspects of life, start focusing on little things you are grateful for , rather than the things you aren’t.

Even in the most dire of circumstances, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. And it could be the simple things , the things you take for granted.

For Example.

  • Have arthritic knees? Be grateful that you can still walk. 
  • Living in your car? Be grateful you are not out on the street.
  • Be grateful that you can see.
  • Be grateful that you can smell .
  • Be grateful that you are breathing.
  • Be grateful for the food you ate today.
  • Be grateful for the people in your life who have been helpful.
  • Be grateful for nature

Each morning when you wake up… get a glass of water , find somewhere quiet or have some relaxing music playing and make a list of at least 10 things you are grateful for. Do this every day until you have 100 things you are grateful for. (AND THEN DO IT AGAIN! )

I know you may be thinking, you don’t understand, you have no idea what it is like. But I can guarantee you that I do. A chronic illness, debilitating anxiety and feeling like I was going to die several times per day for almost a year of my life left me feeling hopeless but it was during this time that I started looking for solutions and realized that I could not change my situation in the same environment that created it.

You are 100% responsible for your own life, while support should most definitely be appreciated , it is not up to other people to make you happy, fix your problems for you or support you in any way. ( so for those that do, be grateful)  You need to show up and do the work. I am not going to tell you it is going to be easy because the honest truth is that for most it is not but I will tell you that it is every bit worth it.

There are a number of things you can start changing to start experiencing some shifts in your energy and mindset.

  • Stop watching the news
  • Start reading personal development book, watching webinars that teach a skill.
  • Stop giving your time to things that do not enhance your life is some form. ( Drinking, Smoking, Watching TV.)
  • Get out in nature and ground your energy
  • Drink lots of water
  • Stop eating processed foods, gluten and sugar.
  • Stop using toxic chemical products ( cleaners, bath and body products) Use natural products instead. (Or make your own)
  • Spend time daily practicing gratitude, journaling and meditating
  • Use herbs , crystals and sound frequency healing
  • Visit a Reiki Practitioner or Doctor who specializes in Functional Medicine
  • Take herbal salt baths
  • Use Essential Oils
  • Recite affirmations several times per day.

When creating new habits, you will have to start releasing those negative beliefs that have been filling your thoughts and engrained in to your subconscious mind. You will need to let go of the judgment of others, the past and any kind of negative thinking. 

Start with some Free Masterclasses or simply grab a notebook and connect with your inner guidance.  Odds are, a majority of what you are feeling does not even belong to you… These are beliefs that you have picked up from other people, your parents, it could be an inherited belief or one that was born from a traumatic experience.  Part of healing is learning to live in the now , not the past or creating problems in the future that do not yet exist.

Have you ever caught yourself saying: I’m not enough.

After a long day from work or from your daily activities, you lay on your bed and find yourself thinking… it’s not enough.

I want to tell you that it is. What you are doing now is enough – more than enough, actually!

You are not alone in feeling this way. There are a lot of people out there who feel the same thing too. This feeling you have is not your fault. It’s honestly a common wound people have to heal from.

It’s called an abundance wound, also known as abundance blocks. These are limiting beliefs that hold you back from ever moving forward to the life you want to live. It hinders the natural flow of blessings to you because you feel like you don’t deserve it.

Have you ever scrolled on social media only to see your friends and families’ life filled with abundance? And you’re just there, sitting and wondering… how you could have had that life too – one that’s filled with all the wealth you desire, meaningful relationships, doing the work you love and having complete control of your time.

Because let’s face it. Who wouldn’t want to live the life they desire? We all want an abundant life. THE “NOT ENOUGH” ABUNDANCE WOUND YOU MUST HEAL FROM IF YOU WANT TO MANIFEST YOUR DESIRES TO LIFE!

This is a wound that you have formed in your childhood days. You beliefs are formed between the ages of 0-7 .

Here are common abundance blocks:

  • I am not enough
  • I don’t deserve good things
  • I don’t deserve love
  • I am not worthy
  • I can’t trust money
  • I can’t trust anyone

If you had a secure childhood where your parents loved you, showed their support and care constantly then you might have positive core beliefs.

But if you grew up in an environment that focused on lack, and love wasn’t always present, then it is most likely that you have limiting beliefs.

What you can do to overcome this is by healing your abundance wound. You can do so by finding the right method that works for you because healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. If you have a friend or a relative who is comfortable meditating, it doesn’t mean that you have to do the same thing.

You can try scripting, where you write about your past pains or negative core beliefs, learn from each and let it go. Another method is through audios that have healing energy.

But the best way and perhaps my favorite way of coming to terms with abundance is through the Tree of Life.

If you haven’t heard of it, in a nutshell, the Tree of Life is believed to have the power to give a person immortality. That’s not really the case.

The Tree of Life appears in many of the world’s religions, philosophical traditions, and mythological stories all over the planet, including Ancient Mesopotamia, Iran, China, Europe, Mesoamerica, and North America. It visually shows the connection between every form of creation in existence.

A few years ago I was confined to a lazy boy for 8.5 months of my life due to chronic illness, debilitating pain and anxiety. I felt like I was dying, broken and drowning in debt. HOW TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION

Why am I feeling this way?

For me, this question often presents itself after getting into an argument with someone I love or feeling frustrated because something did not quite work out the way I had planned. . Ask yourself why you are feeling the way you are feeling, next to think about whether this feeling is helping you. If it isn’t helpful, think about what emotions would be more helpful in that moment – do some deep breathing to release the negative energy, take a walk outside. Write those down if you need to, but the goal would be to try and move your energy from ..emotions like sadness, anger, worry etc .. to emotions that are more energizing and helpful, like happiness, peace or compassion.

What is the root of this emotion?

Once you identify the root of this habit, you have a better chance at letting go of it. It is important to understand what angered you so that you can prevent it from coming up. Maybe someone cut you off in traffic or at the grocery store, maybe someone said something rude, or maybe there were unresolved anger issues with family members. The underlying cause has to be dealt with before negative emotions will dissipate. It is very important to recognize emotions almost as soon as they arise. Many people repress emotions for years without knowing why. Then, when someone cuts them off ,or it happened in childhood, they blow up and also don’t understand why. Once you become aware of your emotions being out of whack, take some action to defuse the situation. Prayer or meditation is wonderful and can really help you become more centered. However, many of these negative emotions are bigger than prayer. I mean they’re Think about if there is a specific person, event, or thought that caused the emotion. The root of the emotion may be an idealized version of an event, if your brain skipped over some steps in the story and created a happy ending where one doesn’t really exist. Revisit events from a different perspective and sometimes you might see that it never happened the way you remember it – and therefore feel better. The key to releasing Negative emotions is to find the root of the problem. It’s important to get to the point of what it is that is causing you negative feelings. Was there a recent event? Do you feel that this feeling has passed its expiration date since the event occurred? Almost always, when people are able to create awareness around what is causing their negative feelings, they are able to heal them by either transforming them or letting go of them altogether.

What am I choosing to think and feel?

Life is an endless cycle of emotions, thoughts and choices. If something bothers you, ask why is it bothering you? Sometimes the truth is very surprising – maybe you’re holding on to some anger or resentment that’s caused by choices made in your past. Once you know what the problem is that is causing your negative feelings, take time to think about how you would like to feel. Ask yourself what thoughts and feelings come to mind, what would make you happy instead of sad or frustrated? Flip thought patterns. Instead of telling yourself that ‘I never get any breaks’ try to flip the thought pattern around and think about the things in your life that you are grateful for. Starting a gratitude journal is a great way to start shifting your mindset.

Take time each day for self care , to let go of any negative energy and do the things that help you ground, be present and create.  One of my favorite things to do is walking in nature, and when the weather is not ideal, I spend more time in meditation. We actually recently purchase the Occulus Quest and I use it for VR Meditation.

I was chronically ill for over a decade , spent 8.5 months in a recliner or propped up in bed suffering from severe withdrawal from all of the medications I had been on, debilitating pain and wave after wave of anxiety attacks . I am talking manic panic , feeling like you are about to die at any given moment type of fear.

Healing Trauma

My limited beliefs and unresolved trauma were sucking the very life from me!

And while my healing technically did not happen over night …  it most definitely catapulted me in the direction of taking consistent action to shift my reality. 

People and situations kept just showing up …and I discovered that it was all based on the questions I was asking myself and the universe.

I was subconsciously attracting it all to me. Fortunately , I had discovered the path to start healing and attracting abundance in to my life.

Scarcity VS Abundance Mindset

A scarcity mindset is when you are in a constant state of lack.

You may find:

  • you have relationship problem
  • you have health problems
  • you are constantly worrying
  • you spend a lot of time blaming and complaining

With an abundance mindset you can:

  • see a better version of yourself and your life and work towards achieving your goals
  • you focus on practicing gratitude rather than lack
  • the law of attraction starts to go to work for you 
  • you begin to manifest money , opportunities and improved health rapidly
  • you switch from negative emotions to positive ones
