DIY Room Spray Recipes Made With Essential Oils

DIY Room Spray Recipes Made With Essential Oils

Ditch the chemical laden , store bought room and linen sprays and make your own DIY Room spray with essential oils.

If you have been following me for any length of time, you likely know that several years ago I made a conscious decision to start replacing the toxic chemical laden products in my home with healthier and more natural versions.

In many cases , I make my own and while it is a part of my business selling ready made products, I believe everyone should have the option of making their own products as well.  Affordability can be an issue when it comes to buying healthier , more natural products but you can easily make your own with quality, budget friendly essential oils and some staple ingredients that you can buy off of Amazon.

DISCLAIMER:: This website utilizes the use of affiliate links. All this means is that if you click on a link and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

These DIY Essential Oil Room Sprays, can also be used as a Linen Spray to freshen up your sheets, as well as add a antibacterial and antimicrobial benefit. ( Depending on the essential oils chosen.)

I will share with you some of my favorite essential oil recipes and essential oil blends that you can use to make your own diy linen spray.

Many people have been asking me to share my recipes over on TIKTOK and I have also heard that people need a more affordable option than the MLM Option that I have been using for years. And while I do believe they are some of the best quality oils, they are not within everyone’s budget .

I have also heard you when you said you wanted a quality option that did not require you to be on a monthly autoship! I get it!

Contrary to popular belief, there is more than 1 great essential oil company, but I definitely have my top 5 and will be doing some side by side and price comparisons very soon.

I recommend have a few different sized amber glass bottles. 4 oz bottles are great for travel and small gifts, 8 oz are great sizes for bathrooms and the 16 oz bottles are especially great for the Linen Spray , as you will find you go through more refreshing your furniture and linens.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

How much essential oil should I add to room spray?

My general room of thumb is 1/4  witch hazel to water ratio.  And a really easy way to measure for those who do not have a scale is to use measuring cups. There are 8 oz in a cup of liquid, so you would be able to make an 8 oz spray or two 4 oz bottles.  Double the recipe to fill your 16 oz bottle.

My recommendation for the essential oils is to use approximately 30 drops EO for a 4 oz room spray.

(Note: Witch hazel helps the oil and water combine and will help the scent linger for a longer period of time.)

I also add a drop or two  of liquid castile soap to act as an extra binder and emulsifier.

We use amber glass bottles for a few reasons, first to protect the essential oils from degrading through light , as well as to make sure that essential oils aren’t eating the plastic, there are no leached chemicals from plastic and glass bottles can be recycled over and over again!

Essential Oil Room Spray Recipe

  • 1/4 cup witch hazel
  • 3/4 cup distilled or Kangen water
  • drop or 2 plain Liquid Castile Soap
  • 40-60 drops essential oil ( based on personal preference)

DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL to make sprays!

Mix together all of your liquids and then add essential oils and stir with a non metal spoon or whisk. I will often just make a batch of plain room and linen spray base and add essential oils to the bottle and give it a little shake. This way I can make several different scents.

This will fill two 4 oz bottles, so I would put 20 -30 drops of essential oil per bottle.

RECOMMENDED ESSENTIAL OILS & BLENDS

  • Mint Rain – Reminiscent of a fresh spring rain storm.  This  is a great choice for Linen Sprays!

( And several version of many well known higher priced blends) I have to take a minute to shout out their Version of Young Living’s Abundance Essential Oil.

Celery Juice Benefits & How To Make Celery Juice Without A Juicer

Celery Juice Benefits & How To Make Celery Juice Without A Juicer

For most of us, celery juice is one of those things that we have heard about but never actually tried. The truth is that it’s a great addition to your daily routine and it can help you in a number of different ways. In this post I’ll discuss the benefits of celery juice, how to make celery juice without a juicer, what’s in celery juice, and why you should drink it!

Is Celery Juice Good For Weight Loss?

Celery juice is a popular drink that has been known to help with a variety of different ailments, including weight loss.

Celery has been used as a natural diuretic for centuries. That means that it helps to flush out your system and reduce bloating and water retention. It is also full of healthy fiber and can help to keep you feeling full and satisfied for longer.

DISCLAIMER:  None of the information contained on this website is a substitute for professional medical advice. It is purely for informational purposes and is based on my own personal experiences. I am also an independent distributor for many of the products contained within the post. But I am also a consumer of the products.

What Are The Benefits Of Celery Juice

Celery juice is a very healthy drink that has been used as a healing tonic for centuries. In recent years, it has been gaining popularity as a natural cure for many ailments. Some of the benefits of celery juice are:

  • Many nutrients
  • Improves digestion
  • Alkalizes
  • Fights infections
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Heals your gut
  • Weight loss
  • Improved focus
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Healthier , glowing Skin

Celery juice has a negative charge that makes it capable of attracting positively charged toxins and taking them out of the body. It also has a high alkalinity that promotes the release of the body’s natural enzymes, which are essential for proper digestion, nutrient absorption, and cellular repair. Celery also contains flavonoids which are powerful antioxidants

Celery is a great source of Vitamin K, Vitamin A, Vitamin B6, and Magnesium. The vitamin K helps with blood clotting, the vitamin A helps your eyes adjust to darkness, the vitamin B6 helps with utilization of proteins and carbs, the magnesium helps with relaxation

How To Make Celery Juice Without A Juicer

If you do not have a juice there are a few ways you can still enjoy the benefits of celery juice. Option 1 is to locate a juice bar and buy fresh celery juice. However, this can get very costly and celery juice should be consumed the same day it is made or else it oxidizes.  Option 2 is to blend celery juice with a small amount of water in a blender and then strain with some cheesecloth or a nut milk bag. Option 3 which is my chosen method, is to purchase freeze dried celery powder and make a glass of it each morning.

Celery Juice VS Celery Powder

There is a big debate whether celery powder provide the same benefits as drinking fresh raw juice. As someone who has tried, all of the options mentioned in this post, I will say that I do not believe that anything , whether it be celery or another fruit or vegetable, is better than the organic fresh version, this is a great alternative and freeze drying will actually retain most of the benefits of the plant.  I also choose to mix my celery powder with alkaline water, which in my opinion makes juice just as good as the raw plant.

Why Celery Juice In The Morning?

Drinking celery juice in the morning is a great way to get an extra boost of vitamins and minerals. The celery contains a powerful mix of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, which can help to fight off harmful free radicals in the body. It also helps to stimulate the digestive system and the metabolism. In the morning, it’s a great way to give your body a boost of energy and increase your metabolic rate.

Why Celery Juice On An Empty Stomach?

Celery juice is an excellent way to detoxify your body. Celery is loaded with fiber, minerals, and vitamins. It contains no fat or cholesterol and can be consumed by people of all ages. Drinking celery juice on an empty stomach is the best because it will help you get rid of toxins in your body while providing your body with a fresh supply of nutrients. It is also a great way to alkalize your body first thing in the morning.

Celery Juice & Epstein Barr

Celery Juice is a natural remedy that can be used to help with many different health problems, including Epstein Barr, acid reflux, gastritis, and skin conditions. It is a natural diuretic that can help flush out your kidneys and bladder. It also helps clean up the blood by removing toxic substances from the body and can help with mental health issues, including anxiety. Disease begins in the gut and there is a gut brain connection, meaning that if your gut is out of whack, chances are your brain is on some level as well.  Many people have found that when they have taken care of their gut health , anxiety and depression has been alleviated.

There are so many health benefits to drinking celery juice and the best part is, you can make it at home! You will be surprised at how easy it is to make a part of your daily routine.

How Much Keto Coffee Can I Drink?

It is recommended not to exceed 1-2 cups per day. Just like regular coffee, too much caffeine is not  beneficial to your health. Coffee is highly acidic and drinking too much will raise the acidity levels in your body, not to mention the fact that people who consume too much caffeine suffer from high blood pressure and anxiety. The goal is to become healthier, not create additional health woes.

Drinking keto coffee, working to make your body more alkaline and working on your gut health will eliminate the need for a cup of coffee every couple of hours!

When To Drink Keto Coffee

It is best to drink keto coffee on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. What I like to do is start my morning off with celery juice powder (same benefits, less mess, time & hassle)  and then spend 30 minutes or so meditating and journaling  and follow it up with a hot keto coffee or my energizing keto coffee breakfast smoothie ( recipe below)

How To Use Essential Oils For Holistic Healing

How To Use Essential Oils For Holistic Healing

Essential oils are essential for holistic healing. They have been used to treat everything from headaches, colds, and depression to arthritis, cancer, and Parkinson’s disease. Essential oils are also essential for medicinal benefits that help you heal naturally.

But not all essential oils are created equal! You need to be careful with your selection process so you can get the most out of them. In this blog post we’ll go over what essential oils are best for different ailments as well as how they work in the body and why they might help you feel better!

DISCLAIMER: This site utilizes affiliate links. All this means is that if you click a link and make a purchase , I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, the consumer.

Different essential oils have different healing properties.

One of the most popular essential oil is peppermint essential oil, which helps with muscle aches and pains as well as headaches! This essential oil also works wonders for digestive issues such as bloating or irritable bowel syndrome. It can even help to alleviate joint pain from arthritis because it has anti-inflammatory effects on the body.

Eucalyptus essential oil is another common one that you’ve probably been around before – but not like this! Most people know eucalyptus for its decongestant qualities when inhaled through a humidifier (or Vicks Vapor Rub). But did you know that it’s great at alleviating cold symptoms by opening up your airway passages and clearing congestion?

Another essential oil that is very popular for medicinal purposes is tea tree essential oil. Tea tree essential oil has antibiotic properties, which makes it great at fighting off infections like colds or flu! It can also be used to treat head lice, acne, dandruff, ringworm – the list goes on!

One of these essential oils alone cannot do everything though; you need a collection! These are only three examples of many different kinds of essential oils out there with their own specific uses. You should ideally have an arsenal of them in your medicine cabinet ready to go when you’re feeling under the weather (or just want some extra energy).

To use essential oils, you can diffuse them in your home by adding a few drops to water and putting it into a diffuser. This is a great way to make your home smell nice while also getting some essential oil benefits at the same time.

You can even diffuse essential oils in essential oil diffusers that look like beautiful home decor pieces. Try one of these 65 Essential Oil Diffuser Recipes.

Another great way to use essential oils is topically. You can add essential oil drops to essential oil roller bottles ( check out this post on making Chakra Clearing Roller Bottles) , spray essential oils directly on your skin, or put them in a hot bath. You may enjoy these DIY Bath Bombs!

You can add essential oil drops to essential oil roller bottles and apply them directly to the skin around where you’re feeling pain, or on pulse points and reflexology points to reap the benefits.

Can You Use Essential Oils In Cooking?

You can even use essential oils in cooking! Just be sure you’re using essential oil and not the actual herb. Try adding some rosemary essential oil to your garlic bread or adding essential oil drops to your Thanksgiving gravy for a subtle flavor.

Different essential oils should be used in different ways depending on their concentration and the condition they’re used for.

For essential oils that are 100% pure, you should be fine using them without diluting (for example, essential oil drops in a diffuser or essential oil roller bottle).

However, essential oils that are labeled as “blends” should be diluted with essential oil carriers before use.

If essential oils are applied topically, make sure to dilute them with essential oil carriers like coconut or jojoba oil. Concentrations of essential oils can vary widely depending on the essential oil and even on different batches, so always check the label to make sure you’re not overdoing it.

It’s also essential to remember that essential oils can be very potent and should always be diluted before use. If essential oils are applied full-strength to the skin, they can cause irritation and other negative side effects.

You should also never swallow essential oils or use them internally without diluting first. This is especially important for essential oil users that are pregnant, nursing, or children under the age of five.

One of the most common essential oils to use for internal health is peppermint essential oil, which also has some great topical benefits. Peppermint essential oil is great for alleviating symptoms of nausea, indigestion, and even headaches!

Did you know essential oils can be used topically or inhaled?

Topical application is when essential oils are applied directly to the skin – this method makes it easier to use these products on children because they don’t need any preparation before using them! Inhalation means diffusing essential oils into the air or using them in a diffuser.

You can also consume essential oils, which is called ‘internal use’. This method is not recommended for children under the age of five because they are more sensitive to essential oil compounds – so internal ingestion isn’t safe for this younger demographic.

By now it should be clear how important essential oils are for holistic healing. They treat everything from headaches to depression to arthritis, cancer, and Parkinson’s disease! There are many different kinds of essential oil with their own specific uses, so they are essential to have in your medicine cabinet.

Eucalyptus essential oil is great for respiratory issues like colds or allergies because it acts as an expectorant and decongestant. Tea tree essential oil has antibacterial properties that can kill off infections like the flu. Peppermint essential oil works wonders on stomach problems such as bloating or irritable bowel syndrome, plus it helps alleviate joint pain from arthritis too! Essential oils also support cellular health by removing free radicals which damage cells – this prevents cancerous growths before they even start forming!

Essential oils work best when combined together; there really isn’t one kind of essential oil that does everything alone (and the chemical compounds need each other to play their part).

There are many essential oils out there with different properties like antibacterial, antidepressant, antifungal, anti-inflammatory – the list goes on! This means you need a collection of essential oils in your medicine cabinet ready for when you’re feeling under the weather (or just want some extra energy), and it should be obvious how important essential oils are for holistic healing. They can treat everything from headaches to depression to arthritis and cancer!

Essential oil use is safe for everyone; however essential oil compounds aren’t recommended at all for children under five years old because they’re more sensitive than adults. You should only use essential oils internally if you know what kind will work best with your body.

How do essential oils affect your body?

Essential oils are made up of unique chemical compounds that interact with the cells and allow them to perform different functions. For example, peppermint essential oil has a compound called menthol which can relieve congestion while also working as an antioxidant. But essential oils also contain terpenes and other chemicals which have anti-inflammatory properties! These antioxidants support cellular health by removing free radicals from the body’s circulation system – essential oils truly work wonders for holistic healing!

There’s no need to take pills or use harsh medications when you can just diffuse some essential oil into the air and still receive the benefits.

Do the Quality Of Essential Oils Matter?

As I mentioned earlier quality essential oils matter.

When dealing with essential oils, you can’t just buy any essential oil and expect them to work as well as they should. They need to be organic high-quality essential oils so that your body receives the most of their benefits without cheap fillers or impurities getting in the way! This is why it’s important to know which essential oil seller gives you quality products – because not all essential oils are created equal!

Buy Quality Essential Oils

Here at Young Living we use a seed-to-seal process for our essential oils which guarantees purity and potency each time we distill another batch of plants. When we say pure therapeutic grade essential oils, we mean it; these really do smell like fresh cut Lavender or freshly harvested herbs and not like essential oils at all!

A Quality essential oil will also last a long time. High-quality essential oils don’t evaporate or go bad as fast as low-quality essential oils, so you can save money by buying them in larger quantities and using less of the product overall.

All in all essential oils are great to have for medicinal benefits, but you need the best essential oil out there.

So let’s recap on essential oils.

Essential oils are great for medicinal purposes, especially when combined with other essential oils to create a collection of healing remedies that can be used all in one. It is important to get quality organic essential oils so you know exactly what is going into your body and how powerful they are! And lastly, it doesn’t matter if you have the best essential oil out there – any essential oil will work better than no essential oil at all! You need these guys ready by your side when feeling under the weather or wanting some extra energy during stressful times.

What are the 10 most popular essential oils?

Conclusion: Essential oils are great to have around, but only if they’re high quality. Not all essential oils are created equal – some can even be harmful or toxic. When choosing an essential oil make sure it’s organic and pure therapeutic grade so that it won’t harm your body with fillers or impurities. Knowing which essential oil seller gives you quality products is important too because not all essential oils are created equal! This is why I recommend Young Living as a trustworthy source of essential oils; their seed-to-seal process guarantees purity and potency each time they distill essential oils. They don’t use any additives in their essential oils either; if it’s pure therapeutic grade, then that’s what you’re getting! Their essential oil bottles are even dark blue glass for those who may be worried about light exposure affecting their purity too. Essential oils can be a great way to heal your body naturally from common issues like colds or flu – just know which essential oil seller gives you quality products first before making a purchase!
